Counting to ten

Jumped over the moon.
A car honked at me for ten seconds
I ran the red light
I bid high enough
The sweat made my hair drip and my shirt stick
Finessing subtleness.
Page down, page up.
Skimming to start, staring for a reaction
I can hear the liquid in my stomach
I had to chew that too much
Mirrored and turning to stone soon
Sculptures are best in 360.
Bracketed phone calls
Vapor from the room sealed off
"You are not on this earth"
But ask about my music choice and the lady next to me
A best friend told me to wake up.
I can not see where I spend most of my time
I do follow a routine, over water
Catching bait and hooking it
The table holds two glasses empty
News events unread
Boiling my arms to reveal new skin
Rubbing to no end.

Ripped with no repair date

Maybe limbs are just for motion
Swinging and stomping
Maybe minds are just for getting into trouble
Forgetting and tunnel vision

In the bathroom

I cut myself
I was out of Band-Aids
I had a bandage for a larger wound but too large for a cut on my finger
Medium size Band-Aids cost more than expected
I left the box in the bathroom after replenishing my on-the-go first-aid kit
Newsweek comes weekly
A two week old issue is next to the toilet along with the bandages
At a second glance the half full box of Band-Aids laying on top of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's frowning face seemed humorous

Run

Running twice as fast under overhangs
casting shadows, flickering environment looses the
touch of men. Face to the soil, America started with an ax and a tongue
Partially covered in Eastern sand, novels hide themselves
Caught in the summer months, jumping to the dunes.

Trading quickly, unthought, provoking attack
of a friendly brother. For ease of movement, grunt
for success.
Repeating drum crying with dawning recognition
Expected death acts
Twice as many bold faces
Lining newly bought t-shirts
Unwrapped from plastic, a smile replaces an empty pocket.
Crossfire in the tight corner
the room to the left.

Plus I already bought a ticket out of hearing another bottle hit the floor.
The fare is fair
The schedule is prepared
next available.

Publish, professional understanding
rightly stated and wrongly accused
Drawn in
the missing blanks
Expected dirt to fill those
holes in meantime,
no receipt for the recent withdrawal

Tsssst

Gray on finger
Knuckles usually red
Heels picked loose of black
Chest never tan
Irises know how to radiate
Lush has entered the room
Lasting more than a day
White falling from an itch
A most discrete pain, unaffected by violence
Sweating from a star dripping yellow
Satellites beaming an impossible connection
Retracting backwards

Blood Sucking

Wait go back

We should totally go back
because there was a pet store back there

Just happen to be running late
and in the middle of the
highway at the same time

High grass with major consequences.

Not uncivilized but not open
Happening at a precise
moment. Found unplanned love. Forced
to accept a thorough cleaning with
a perk of satisfying forgotten appetite.

Renamed, reloved, new pest.

A godly act
Hinted rejection
Expressions from ear to ear
Disgust with hands all over
Is there too kind, too caring?
Slipping, sappy, short haired.

In the small notebook

Walk up many stairs
to pass large columns and
open heavy doors only
to sit in a tall chair.
Judging.

Rain washes my
face on the downhill.

Too late to think and
too late to sleep
I will jump in after you.
